Between furthering your education at an Ivy (grad school)

Or moving to Canada for a job that pays well and utilizes your degree.

Which would you choose?

I was in a situation sort of like this - job or furthering my skills/education.

What would you be studying, how long will it take and how are you paying for it?

What's the job in Canada and how much are they offering (in USD or CAD)?

Journalism, 2 years at Columbia JSchool in the M.S Part Time program. The full time version only takes 10 months but I can't go full time, I need the flexibility. So it'll take 2 years. And I'd be taking out a (small) loan, and paying for the rest out of pocket.

The Job in Canada is a position working with/for the ONPHA and it'll pay roughly 84000 CAD(64000 USD) with benefits, full time. But Id also have to move there after I Graduate. And relocating is a headache.

If you're not about relocating and you have steady income here in NYC (I don't need to tell you how expensive it is), then get your degree. Lotta broke ass people with graduate degrees, though, so be careful and make sure you do as many internships as possible. Journalism is a tough field nowadays.
