"I listened to low vibrational black genocide music growing up and I turned out just fine" is quite possibly the dumbest and lowest level thinking type of argument one could make.

It's like me saying "police brutality is fake news since I've never been mistreated by a cop". See how stupid that sounds?

Can we talk about this "no accountability" culture in america that WAY too many people are moving around with since theres all this culture talk? You got parents out here blaming music artists and entertainers for the well beings of their own kids. They dont hold themselves as accountable for anything so its always someone elses fault. You clowns need to grow up.

Politicians were at one point really ramping up on censorship because some of these parents werent raising or watching their kids. Blaming music artists for their kids committing suicide by playing records backwards to hear "hidden messages". :snoop: this is why they have the parental advisory sticker. But with that said, are you making sure you filter your kids ears and eyes regularly. The news is just as toxic and influential. Do you let your kids watch the evening news?

Said this in another thread:

My take: I don't think these are either/or dynamics. I believe music is A factor, not THE factor. Most people who listen to violent music don't act out that violence. Most poor people aren't criminals. Most people with mental health diagnosis' don't harm others. But we can't ignore poverty and mental heatlh are contributing factors to crime and violence. I think the music is in that category too. Not a big piece but it's a factor. People who study these things have concluded "culture" to be the biggest influence on human behavior. Impoverished, mentally ill people exist all over the world, but America specifically has a culture that pushes these people to violence. Music influences culture. Again, its not THE sole influence, but it's an influence.
