I'm already ugly, the only things I've had going for me have been my wit and my intelligence, which gets girls to overlook that I'm skinny and ugly.

Anyone with a good diet, exercise, and a workout regimen alongside a good sense of style should be cool.
People who are out of shape, worn out from years of partying, in poor health, who dress like shyt shouldn't be the norm.
You should see a lot of the older French guys, still taking care of themselves into their 90s.

nah but this underscores a point i've been making to myself for a while... people don't respect/notice a context until they're living it. Even when they start livng a whole different life they abandon the previous context and get amnesia about it. It's weird

It's mostly women that are fixated on their outer appearance, worried about how they gained weight etc.

Men on the other hand don't worry about those things as much. I'm a good looking brother, and I don't think about my looks like that.

She has to understand that she used to run in pageants where it's mostly about beauty. And if she's now disfigured, the only type of dudes that'd probably give her a chance are ones that are less superficial, not all about looks and having a "trophy wife".

On some level I think she's just saying all that to feel better about her situation. How many women out here would trade being an 8.5/9 to be a 4??
