I don’t like Aldi’s at all. It could be the ones here but, I never shop there. I do like Lidl, but wouldn’t do my main shopping there either.

In the latest development in the horse meat scandal, the Aldi supermarket chain just announced that some of its frozen beef products were found to contain up to 100 percent horse meat. The affair started in mid-January when food inspectors in Ireland found horse meat in burgers stocked by several UK supermarkets – including Tesco, Iceland and Lidl. The Food Standards Agency will meet the environment secretary, food suppliers and retailers on Saturday to discuss the issue.

Definitely another country.. But cant be too trusting in a market driven by making a profit and cutting corners..

With the produce..

I had some bananas from Aldi that i bought green, and took noticeably longer than usual to turn yellow.. Compared to the ones i would by at like a Kroger and others..
Noticed the same with their pears in a bag.. They just stayed firm much longer than pears bought from other stores.

Other than that, i fcks with Aldi..
