I went to WinCo for the 1st time a week or 2 ago. I didn't see think anything special about it over Aldi unless you just prefer name brands over Aldi's in-house brands.Winco>>>
Aldis in white neighborhoods be lit, walk in likethey don't be having shyt like this in the hood
Demographics is a mf
I feel ya. Ours was "budgety" for the first 5 years. Now they "lambo'd" it up.
Gentrification like a bish.![]()
I don't know why folks trip over this. The Dollar Store sells frozen meat, but it's a small quantity that you can't get at a regular grocery store. The Aldis by me sucks. Produce is shytty. Meat is usually ok.
Maybe I'm privileged, but I don't really trust certain foods that are so cheaply priced
The Dollar Tree by me has Salmon........for a dollar. Steak, porkchops, all that for a dollar. I don't trust that shyt one bit.
Lidi's coming to the Dallas metro area too. They building them in my area now. I am hooked but wish they would put one in my city close to me. Their $2.89 low level wine is GOAT for what u pay for. Their low level wine is better than the low level wines at other stores.
Their produce for the most part is good...and great prices on their private label brands and the usual staples like eggs, milk, juice, breads, etc.
They have a banner in their store "smarter shopping".....they aint lying. U may have to pay for bags...but I just put my shyt in a sturdy box. They have streamlined a lot of shyt.
There is another European grocery store called Lidl that's coming to the eastern coast I read (MD, VA, NC, etc.) and they supposed to rival Aldi. There is one that's coming near me. I hope they be just as good as Aldi.
Oh aight...I read they coming to the US and will rival Aldi like they do in Europe. Aldi and Lidl may be a huge problem for the other grocery stores like Walmart, Food Lion, Kroger, Whole Foods, and the local/regional chains.Lidi's coming to the Dallas metro area too.
