Pride

Tbh I've been trying to work out why that is a sin and adjust my life accordingly.. I mean, I get it, but if you drop your pride completely you're gonna get walked over

Or maybe I'm way off the mark here idk

i was having the same problem and @MMS tried to put me on but i am more with your modern day interpretation.

now 2021 we have all these mantras and sayings like "nice guys finish last" "watch out for this and that" "close mouths dont get fed" etc.

basically pushing the ideals of a barbarian its very aggressive full of guile and not in the way of love and light for sure.

i can only wonder myself as i am growing older knowing the cards i got dealt and how i played them, have i been short changed by what is good?

so i say :

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”1 Samuel 16:7

is there any particular find or quotable you came across that can support that view? i believe you though, you search proof accurate lol.

Not necessarily, just try finding a concept of you going somewhere and being punished for all of eternity for things you did on Earth in any religion.

Try finding it in the Bible.

So I suppose like many things relating to this.. As long as I recognise my flaws and attempt to understand I'm at least half way there

I mean what more can God expect from me, a mere mortal, as they say

lol its a little bit cryptic because

the book of Daniel 12:2 written around 165 B.C.E., in which the prophet is given a vision of the Day of Judgment. "Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt."

thats what i have found and in thoro searches (even though google is white-washed) its relating to the greeks and hades.

offline from years of different elders and teachers have tried to usher in the view point hell is a state of mind but their predecessors like the kemit stories of the afterlife ... there is punishments of some kind and in return rewards ie. heaven, paradise, peace.

i am looking more into it but i want to find where africans first started adopting of hell knowing african jewels are the foundation of all religions so they must have some sort of "hell" but major props tho :salute:

without a doubt bro.

you are so loved by nature and God you don't know it, the fact you are scratching your head trying for better means you are of great spirit.

man bares faults if you are of faith then it doesn't have to be the language of the bible, you could just choose to live well and under Gods love and light. i said that because in kemit beliefs "if your heart was lighter than a feather on your passing, they weigh it with a golden scale, if your heart is lighter then you are innocent you are good and heavens and all".

it seems not only do you have a will, but a healthy passion for enlightenment. these guys will scream Dr Sebi and Nipseys name but aren't in-tune with enlightenment. keep going bro

Yeah there’s a concept of a heaven or hell state of mind in some religions and wisdom teachings on right living, which is in my opinion the most valuable thing in religion, but there is no concept of you being cast in fire and damnation for all of eternity.

It’s this reason why psalm 23 is so important

if you live in constant feedback with other people, and you take their ways and opinions and put them higher than your own. Then it will be truth :ehh:

But if you say that gods truth is my standard and what you wish to judge yourself by…then that will be so

As a man your survival and internal condition depend on this choice and how you will view yourself

It’s from Norse mythology of Odin/freya versions of heaven

and hel

they have written it and lived by it so it’s now a truth they have a hard time shaking

the lake of fire is up…not down
