Look up "ego death". Being able to move out of your own way is an amazing thing, and it sure as hell doesn't mean that you'll get walked over once doing so.

i was having the same problem and @MMS tried to put me on but i am more with your modern day interpretation.
now 2021 we have all these mantras and sayings like "nice guys finish last" "watch out for this and that" "close mouths dont get fed" etc.
basically pushing the ideals of a barbarian its very aggressive full of guile and not in the way of love and light for sure.
i can only wonder myself as i am growing older knowing the cards i got dealt and how i played them, have i been short changed by what is good?

for sure but you take from it what you can the allegories to help you up when things are down. most do yoga these days, or meditation or seek therapy, looking forward to a nightly prayer or something can move the bodies energy into a more harmonious existence.

I wouldn't even say that you'd have to go the route of psychedelics to embrace the concept. Just use the term for your own growth and discovery. It's a truly healing and freeing thing to be able to let the pride part of your "self" go. And trust me, you won't get stepped on after doing so. You'll start to see that pride is actually something that can easily be manipulated into a weakness by those snakey enough to try it. Pride can also hinder you from producing your best bits of work if you let someone get under your skin while your trying to focus on a task at hand. Once people know that you truly don't give a fukk and have the utmost confidence in your truest beautiful self, it becomes a scary and respected thing to your peers and co-workers. I had one woman I work with tell me a couple months back that the one thing that's she's known about me for a long time is that I'm not to be fukked with and she was absolutely correct lol. Take pride in your work and let the results speak for themselves.
A virtue signaling white bytch tried to call me out in an email a while back over some super trivial shyt to one of the heads of the company we work for and I didn't even bother responding. I saw the head the next day and didn't even bring it up. Had I let my pride stand in my way and escalated it, she could have easily spun the situation into her favor and painted me into being a bad dude. Now she just looks weak and messy to everyone that she tried to get involved with the situation lmao. Best believe that I saved the email progression as documentation though. Always document issues at work. It's one of the best things you can do to protect yourself.

fukkin... A lot of the stuff you're saying I'm going through right now. I gave this woman a dressing down in work cos she's been smiling in my face and snaking me behind my back, I kicked off when she asked me about my ill father
When called in for the bullshyt investigation I just told them I'm sick of the negativity and that I shouldn't have shouted, they expected me to state my case but I'm not getting involved in their shyt and these fukkers gossip like shyt anyway.. I want no part of it
But see my thinking was that I won't stoop to their level.. Which is a noble thought.. But their is pride and arrogance in that thinking that I don't know how to shake.. And I know u should shake it. It shouldn't bother me at all

But I swear I'm getting somewhere , I recently resolved to let my work talk for itself, but I'm quite vocal in work and generally talkative and often laughing, generally leading the conversation. So when I quieten down its noticeable.. Its a bit eerie at the minute but I feel calm and confident as ever.. Even more so.
