I think most of us black men can pull off clean shaven better than other races. I never get rapey vibes from other clean shaven brehs

As a baby face dude, the beard really does do a service for me. I wouldn't say i'm ugly without it, I just look hella young.

Got most of my females in the military without a beard
But growing one did look better on me according to some females.
I trim now to a low shadow or chin strap/beard now. Never grow a full beard it looks weirder than a shaved face
