If there was a profit incentive, Universal Healthcare would come through in a heartbeat.

As it stands now, they want you overweight, stressed, living hand to mouth, and any free time sucked into being in the office to be productive. Universal Healthcare gives workers leverage, because they would not be beholden to employers to make sure they can get their meds.

Yep

A lot of people would quit their office jobs for cash gigs in a heartbeat, if benefits weren't tied to jobs.

A fleeting childhood
Are you single and childless?
At that time, yea I was. Having a spouse and a child not a good excuse tho. How many generations were in better shape while working in factories, having a wife and kids

People can keep up to date on bullshyt like sports and tv series but can’t hit push-ups at the house or wake up early to workout before work

How many Americans do you think/know/feel has a schedule that dense? Cuz that appears to be the base of you and @Wild self argument. That it's just soo many Americans working these ridiculously long and rigorous shifts and that's the reason they can't tell the difference between a burger and banana. Life in America is not that hard, y'all gaslighting

Lol oh my god it so much coddling and excuse making going on in here for grown ass adults.

Most of these people are not trying man, simple as that
As dense as mine? Not many are logging 85 hours, no, but as I said, I'm single and childless and will squeeze in the 1-2 shortened weeknight sessions I can, and 1-2 weekend sessions.

But for those with even 50-60 hour work weeks, and who have a family, it's gonna be difficult, especially if both adults work, which is most likely.

Again, your point is not wrong, but oversimplifying it to "because lazy" as the lion's share of the issue to avoid a cultural/political issue, is.

People just don’t care. I’ve worked 60+ hours a week for years on end and still found time to hit the gym 5 days a week.

How many people gonna adapt and figure out what their calorie needs/meal prep are in order to maintain that type of schedule :jbhmm:

This people talking about universal health care when poor people that get government provided health care are probably in worse shape

Factory work isn't sedentary work, and that same generation has a large portion of fathers who were financial pillars yet emotional ghosts. Food was also better. Most people today do not work standing or moving.

When you get to sleep at 11 you right most people ain't getting up early.

How hey get from the couch to the desk bruh?

Even a 9-5 lazy worker is getting ‘steps’.

Dude above hit the nail on the head, ‘steps’ are for housewives, people already obese, people over 50. Anyone else needs to get some real cardio in

Oh and very important: that goes for gym bros too :ufdup:I been there you think any cardio you lose gains but the older you get f that you need to consider heart health.
Use to think like that but I lost about 10 lbs so far walking on trails, and eating healthier. I’m about 6’5 230 and would like to drop to my high school weight tbh

Are you saying there are no health benefits from walking 10,000 steps a day? Are you advising people, who don’t otherwise exercise, but start taking 10,000 steps a day, to stop doing it?

No one is arguing that 10,000 steps a day will lead to peak physical fitness, but it definitely has health benefits.

I’m saying exactly what I said breh. Walking dont get your heart rate up enough to satisfy cardio requirements. We gonna walk by default. Nothing wrong with walking. I simply don’t honor walking as an exercise.

I mean, if you working in a factory you'll be getting your steps in by default compared to an office worker :manny:

Hopefully that factory didn't give you black lung :merchant:

walking has several benefits and the reason why 10000 steps a days is used is because you can walk anywhere
Right. Sometimes I just go to Walmart and walk up and down every aisle to get some steps in when I have my Apple Watch on.

if you do those things, that okay, but if you do those things without an annual check up, and are just completely oblivious to your health, you deserve anything you get.

I get that not everyone has access to healthcare, but those people need to slow it down the moment they hit 30.

My dad died at 66 and he had a stroke at 57, could have been avoided if he had gone to the doctor.

Crazy how life comes at you. My pops died at 54 and honestly it could've been prevented.

Miss him everyday but the lesson I learned was to take care of yourself early and much more honesty (regarding the doctors).

Within January 2023 alone, a breh would have completed the following exams:
- optometrist
- dentist
- ophthalmologist
- general physician
- endocrinologist

This year, I plan to get:
- coloscopy:dame:
- a few therapy sessions (mental)
- physical therapy

The life of a :flabbynsick:breh.:wow:

Yeah I feel you man it's not easy when you got the kiddies and all that, I get it. I could just be living in an invory tower, I don't wanna rule that out. Because I don't have kids, therefore I don't I know that struggle. Let's be objective. But that's also what comes with that shyt, and as an adult and tax paying citizen you gotta understand and comprehend these things before you conceive. These are people that get the right to vote. Adults. So woe is me to them nikkas man . Get on a lil diet(aka. CUT OUT THE PORK or minimize consumption), HAVE SOME DISCIPLINE, do a couple pushups and squats from time to time around the house or something man. I'm talking about bare minimum shyt like that bro, not even no wild crazy shyt.

I understand that you said what you said. I read what you said. I then asked you two questions regarding what you said to try to ascertain further information about what you think/believe as I disagree with what you said.

You didn’t answer either of the questions. Respectfully, let me know if you’re not willing to engage on this subject, I don’t want to waste my time.
