As someone who walks and bikes most places it is amazing how many adult Americans are not active.

I’d say a good 60% are straight bed - car - office chair - car - couch - bed.
It really is just a mindset. Park far away. Don’t take elevators and escalators (if you live in a high rise this may not be practical). Little things like that will help you get to 10,000 a day, but you still need to go out there and walk for 30-60 minutes a day. Seek out hills when you do it.

The 60% doing bed-car-office chair-car-couch-bed is a brilliant insight.

the vast majority of people clogging up our healthcare system do so because of their poor lifestyle choices.

Google says 1 in 5 deaths is due to Cardiovascular disease...
...that shyt is preventable.

^^Yep. Multiple older ppl in my fam were “pre-diabetic” and reversed that shyt. They don’t play with their health AT ALL.


I rolled outta bed and got to a spin class this AM. Makes you go a little harder when you have a room filled with fit ppl going hard at 830 on a Sunday.

I want to feel AMAZING when I hop out of bed and go about my day. I want to have energy at the end of my work day.

I think the tweet was directed at people who don’t do any of those things. If you are working out and eating healthy you will be fine. Plus you’ll probably stay up late less frequently as you get older.
