A diamond is a diamond, whether it’s grown in a lab or natural. You get a much nicer/larger stone for your money, when you go lab grown.

Bought my wife's engagement ring with a lab grown diamond. She loves that ring and gets compliments all the time from her friends and strangers.

Even if she had pushed for a mined diamond, I would've still bought a lab-grown one. They are identical from a chemical standpoint. A plant grown in a greenhouse is still going to be the same as a plant grown out in a field.
