So we overlook Melo being a bum in games that matter now :ohhh:

I see. Melo wasn't expected to beat MIA last season, but he was expected to play better in the first 3 games of the series. Him putting up empty stats in their only win & an elimination game loss are MEANINGLESS.

Still NO response from you on Melo having the worst winning percentage in NBA playoff history? Figures. Facts & reality tend to make you go silent

Negro...you look at how he played overall and he played well.

Second, look at his head coach in Denver overall playoff record. The man's rbelow .500 playoff resume of failure pre-dates Melo ever stepping onto the NBA hardwood. Don't blame Melo for being coached under the first coach to take a #1 seed and lose to an 8 seed.

I'm sorry...I'm not the one bringing up the "first three games"....I'd bring up the entire series. For the series...he played well...but here you are making the series out to be "the first three games only." That's just plain out DUMB.

I didn't expect the Knicks to beat the Heat OR the Celtics the year prior. Yet you have people out there shaping the narrative about Melo holding the Knicks back. In what way? In series YOU don't even think they could win?

It wasn't Karl's fault the Melo-era Nuggets never took the regular season seriously and routinely pissed away games against lottery teams. and this was the West, where 2-3 wins was usually the difference between seeing the Rockets instead of the Spurs in the first round.

So was it Karl's fault in Seattle?

The man has a longer history of failure than anything you can pin on Melo. I need to see this "Melo's holding us back" thing and where it exists.

He can have the worst playoff percentage but atleast he saw a conference final :aicmon: your team loses in the second round and you acting like your an elite team :childplease: nicca how are you worried about a 50 win team ? Let us lose before you hate ! We just mollywhopped your team again (6-1 record with melo ) and made both your best players look like scrubs

his Seattle record is irrelevant. as a Nuggets fan I can tell you Karl never had true control of that team until Chauncey came through and cleaned up the locker room.

No it isn't when someone ties Melo's so called failures in Denver and not look at the history of its coach.

bad inbounds play aside, it was obvious we couldn't match the Lakers height and with Odom starting to beast near the end, it was a wrap.

I dont think anyone could argue that he makes his teammates better because he does. Anyone who can create their own shot can and typically do.

I think people try too hard to compare him to Lebron as a playmaker/floor leader and he simply cant compare in that aspect. Hes a better scorer than Lebron but nowhere close as a playmaker or defender.

Your boy is nice and deadly n offense but Lebron and Durant are better overall. Cry all you want he cannot avoid the comparisons because he is part of that elite group of SFs in the league

LeBron is overall better....KD its up for debate ,KD and Bron have the advantage in the open court over Melo, both get a lot of transition points and that's probablythe one flaw in Melo game...but in that half court neither one of the is touching Melo. Bron has the all around intangibles is what makes him better then both. Btw the thread is about Melo making his teammates better yet I see mofos making list of players that they think are better...the Hate is :scusthov:
