Should you be scared or not.

One of my young homies shot a nikka in our neighborhood 6 years ago and the dude survived, they have had run ins but the "victim" hasn't attempted to do anything. Just sum slick talking n threats. My homie turned his life around n his a wife, job and a new baby. He lives about 20 minutes from the guy now and my homie is always strapped. Should he be worried or just carry on with his life.
