Why are people saying Nas looks Somalian?

:what:

Somalis quick to claim anybody :russ:

That being said Somalia is big as hell with very different features throughout. He looks like one of the of those up north Somalis with maybe some Yemeni a generation or two back. Not a common look but I seen some dudes who look similar in the face.

It's been mentioned but the current borders are some bullshyt from the colonial era. Even nailing down the look of a country is difficult. Back in the day some of the tribes would have been crossing back and forth regularly

That dude Diddy definitely Somali with his non-dancing ass. I swear I seen this dude at a wedding :hubie:

IMMIGRANT TETHERS
Jordan definitely looks Mande. Kobe Bryant and Tupac did too. It is the shapes of their heads.

JayZ kind of looks Igbo.
I get Fulani vibes from Pac. He's probably the most fulani looking person I've ever seen who wasn't from west africa. Like another breh posted, he looks like an actor from a Senegalese show called Karma. Funny thing about Kobe, when I came back to the states after living 2 years in Guinea as a child, the 96-97 season of the nba was in the latter half, that was my introduction to Kobe and I just assumed he was another fulani. But when he started going bald as he got older, I could see the mande side.

Nothing
Dispells the myth that black Caribbeans/AA'S look miles different from africans obviously their are clear stereotypical looks and sharp features for certain African tribes but some people act like there are no nuances
Even heard fools say africans can't grow beards:mjlol:
I heard a Hebrew Israelite actually say Africans can't grow beard

Word, I got a cousin that looks like Boosie :deadmanny:

The problem with this is that African Americans are too mixed and diverse, so Morris chestnut for example looks Ghanaian and also doesn't look Ghanaian at the same time
True. Afram/ADOS probably have the most diverse West and Central African origins among NWB ethnicities. I think a good example of this is Michael Jordan. He has a pan West African look that you can't really place in one specific West African country.
I mean his crying smiley:mjcry: looks like a Yoruba man I used to chat to.

In some photos, Morris Chestnut looks Ghanaian and in others not so much.

shyt I'm Ghanaian and on multiple occasions people thought I was Kenyan, these are Kenyan people. Makes me think I might have Kenyan tribe in my family tree
I always keep hearing Ghanaians have a (stereo)typical look to them:
Short
Big square head (among males)
Dark skin
Their noses (Even I think there's something to the distinctness of the Ghanaian nose)

I'd say there's some truth to this. However, there are plenty that doesn't fit the stereotype.

There's so much mixture going on in African Americans......Every person she named probably has a little bit of every ethnic group she named...
This.

And let's not leave out the elephant in the room.

The average African-American is 20% European, so between the different mixes between African groups, Native Americans, and CACs, it's probably too hard to tell what tribes we'd come from.
Indeed.
