Maybe not where you from. But Ethiopia got every African look. Habashas are a minority there actually.

Rubbish

Norfeast groovin…

Only Tigrays and Amharas are considered ethnic Habashas. Go tell a Somali or a Oromo that they Habasha and watch how quick they try to fight you.

Bruh, unless you actually been on the ground out there you can’t correct me on this. Habashas are just the most widely represented in terms of culture and they made up the majority of migrants out of the country. If you actually go to Ethiopia, especially the south, Habashas are a minority.

She was on point. :ehh:

Won't name who but I have a cousin that was named in that thread as looking East African. And I have been told on numerous occasions that I can pass as East African as well.

You're partially right. Somalis are not Habesha.

Habesha refers to ALL ethiopians, but not including Somalis from Somalia or from Ogadenia.

Habesha still the majority though.

I'm such an ugly American

This is like a new world to me to think that you can look at a Black person and tell what part of Africa they are from..

You know intellectually that this exists, but very surprising to see laid out like this. Just from her eyeballing them. Supposedly.

Makes me want to sit down and study

People just look very different, its an extremely diverse place. You can spot people yes, even in a foreign country. Americans wouldn't understand because brehs from N. Carolina look exactly like brehs from NY.

A generation ago after European colonialism ended there was now greater mobility within nations for the first time, so distinct ethnic tribes began to mix for the first time with their youth moving to the new towns and cities for work etc resulting in a new generation of inter Black mixes. So in many cases today's generation of African youth is genetically a mix between two different 'tribes' so they don't necessarily resemble their father's and mother's.

I get Fulani vibes from Pac. He's probably the most fulani looking person I've ever seen who wasn't from west africa. Like another breh posted, he looks like an actor from a Senegalese show called Karma. Funny thing about Kobe, when I came back to the states after living 2 years in Guinea as a child, the 96-97 season of the nba was in the latter half, that was my introduction to Kobe and I just assumed he was another fulani. But when he started going bald as he got older, I could see the mande side.

Yeah Pac does look very Fulani facially. The Mande people have a very distinctive shape to their heads. Their heads are oval shaped, elongated and it come to a rounded point at the top. It is really easy to see when a person is bald so it is easier to see in men then it is in women, but when I see those head shapes I assume they are heavily Mande. Take a look at these head shapes and you can see it:

yeah you and OP are both right. The point i meant to convey and has since been made was that yes people from groups (tribes, countries etc.) have features or more aptly collections of features that are inherent to those populations. Like i can always tell a nigerian from a ghanian person IF they have those typical features of their group. I have siblings that look nothing like me but we have the same parents. People tell me I don't particularly look ghanian. I find that when i'm at a certain weight or wear my hair in a particular way you can see some of my Ghanian features more whereas when I drop/cut weight and shave my hair to a level 1 or 0.5 people cannot tell my ethnic background. I've had people I see sporadically tell me I look like a different person every time they see me. Hence the Avatar. I believe Ghanians had nomadic roots if i'm not mistaken so I'm sure there's other west african/ african bloodlines present. I do not believe there to be any non-black blood in my family line on either side god willing...

This shyt is dead on :russ:.

All of my uncles and cousins (dad's side) look like taller, medium weight versions of Rick Ross. Beard, low cut to almost bald, same nose....everything.

Did one of those DNA things and it said the largest share of my ancestry (like 32%) was Nigerian...Yoruba. :russ:. A lot of my friends are Nigerian but Igbo instead. A lot of Igbo aren't as dark me despite being full African. I'm like 1/8 Euro and darker than many Igbos I've met. Usually similar color to Yorubas...at least the ones I know.
