Man that's what I'm wondering. All this money being donated to research etc but how do they spend that shyt? Does making 12 times as much money as you did the year before me you can employ 12 times the doctors to do said research? Better equipment? How is it broken down?
You'd be surprised how much these so called charitable organizations give. Just think about his many celebs you hear who have their own charities. They'll do promo events, giveaways for the kids but the money coming in goes to things like office space, paying the staff, supplies, bills associated with the office (phones, electricity). But a lot of these charities are a great excuse for tax exempt status and also a great way to do shyt like buy/lease whips under the company name, take trips and get access to events and benefits that a "regular" person can't do in their own name unless they're rich.
I doubt these bigger charities are building labs and hiring scientists as soon as the $ pours in. Yea, shyt like this challenge does raise "awareness" but it woukd be great if they showed exactly what kind of work is being put in towards eradicating these diseases.
