You aren't listening to what I'm saying breh.

It doesn't matter if it's good or bad. Nobody was gonna jump out the window and say anything bad about it regardless, directly after BIG died. It would've been career suicide.

Fred.
Who are you talking about though?
the general public or media?

Biggie has 1 classic album and the other is average why should he be in my top 20? Dmx has 2 classic albums and ain't in my top 10

:patrice:In order for this to be true, DMX would need an album besides It's Dark and Hell Is Hot that was better than Life After Death....nah I'm not seeing it, and I fukk with X

I mean....that's cool if you feel like that. I'm not trying to change your mind. I'm just saying at the wake or funeral ain't the time to "keep it real". It never was.

Fred.
Lad's legacy is sealed by BIG actually delivering a great album and the run puffy and mase went on to follow it up.
NO ONE is acting like the album is better than it is.
Disagree? What 1997 Album is fukking with LAD?

I never put BIG on some kinda pedestal....I thought he was dope but never considered him the undisputed best out or anything like that when he was alive.

When "LAD" dropped I was pretty indifferent about it....then all the interviews and magazines and rappers started talking about he's the GOAT and it's a GOAT level album....5 mics, etc....I just :yeshrug: because I knew what time it was. Nobody was gonna judge it objectively. Which was cool back then but here we are 20+ years later and people still can't admit his death played any part in how people received that album. shyt is crazy to me.

Fred.
LAD represented the same thing AEOM did a year before. It was a dope double album,by a dope rapper ,with multiple classic singles and album cuts that became as famous as other rappers singles due to their sheer greatness. You're talking nonsense.

Biggie obviously better then Ross . the topic should have been about his albums being overrated post death but trolls gon troll
Both the years following biggie's albums dropping, him and/or his crew was running hiphop.

Ross never ran shyt. Even at their peek they were standing behind ymcmb
The looks MMG needed young money for,bad boy were creating by themselves
There's no overrating going on with big's albums.
