This is nonsense. Considering Ross has one of the best rap catalogs in rap history and Jada is largely seen as a disappointment or underachiever.

Matter fact, when old head hip-hop people that love the genre and music speak about a standard of quality rap music, Ross name is always brought up. Dude is elite at his craft.

Im tired of hearing this myth about jadas discography he has a great underrated discography

Some of Ready to Die sounds a bit dated but you can see even when Biggie was still using his old school Chubb Rock/King Tee flow that he was a much more imaginative/creative MC than Ross has ever shown to be. On Gimme The Loot he switches up his voice and plays two different characters on the track and on Suicidal Thoughts he expressed his macabre inner feelings of killing himself. And that was just on his first album. BIG showed alot of growth as an artist on the second album also. I really can't think of any Ross songs that shows the storytelling brilliance like Somebody's Gotta Die or I Got A Story To Tell. Ross' biggest flaw is his lack of subject matter and dexterity and he isn't quite as nice flow wise, or voice wise, as Biggie also. BIG was just so commanding on tracks. And we all know he is EASILY the most quoted rapper of all time and yes he only had two albums but let's not forget that he had countless guests spots and wrote a significant amount of verses for Junior Mafia, Lil Kim as a solo artist and others. So it's not like he was being lazy. And we also got to look at the MC talent of each rapper's contemporaries. I don't think too many will try to argue that Ross' contemporaries were as gifted rap wise as Biggie's and Biggie was still considered Top 2 or 3 rappers alive when he was alive. Ross has a much bigger catalog (of course...considering BIG's career was only a few years long) but I still can't see how he's a better artist.
I agree with you mostly
But for me Ross flow and Range greater

I def agree big had far superior contemporaries than Ross

It's weird cause big in my top 5
As a mc

Ross isn't

But I would pick Ross over big as an artist

I def understand if this sounds stupid so

I wouldn't argue my point

BIG Jada fan here. His discography is VERY underwhelming. One of the most unspectacular discogs from a superior rapper in Hip Hop history. He really played himself when he named his last album Top 5 Dead or Alive and the shyt was garbage. Tried to like it but it was garbage.

Man, woman, and child
It didn’t take much feeling to post that :ld:

(But I’ve rocked with many of your views in the past so I’ll digress:manny:)
Thing is if we ranking MCs of course Im putting Big over Ross. I was a huge Big fan but he wasn't close to being my favorite when he was alive. Of course he had way more competition than Ross but Ross has been my favorite over the past decade. Personally there's some Ross music Id rather hear over Big any day outside of a handful of songs

What about Pun’s second album Hex? That one was criticized (as it should have been) for being lackluster

Great point. That album was given a lukewarm reception by critics at best. I think people don't realize that some rappers first posthumous albums are really good and aren't acclaimed mainly because the artist died. Albums like Makaveli: 7 Day Theory and Life After Death were just really dope projects. Albums like Big L's The Big Picture and Pun's Yeah Baby got appropriate reviews imo.

Ross is always gonna be a Big Boss Man. So basically he's aight, but still middle of the road. Biggie, on the other hand, is Andre the Giant. Straight up legendary top 5 status.

I can hear sweat trickling down your cheek
Your heartbeat soun like Sasquatch feet
Thundering, shaking the concrete

Lol what the hell are you talking about? Storytelling is an artform. Come on, Outkast and Slick Rick already told you that. Get ya shyt together.
