If there was irrefutable evidence, sure. But the problem is that it's not scientifically possible for our planet to be flat. Depending on your definition of "popular", most of these claims are backed by actual evidence (which flat earthers do not have) and research on the shape of the earth.

Easy, the ship is simply going into the horizon. If you used the same type of camera from the video I linked previously, you would still be able to see the ship.

There were some cultures who believed the earth was flat and sat on the back of an animal there were some who were aware that the Earth was round.

As a former Navy sailor who has spent hundreds, if not thousands, of hours as a lookout on a ship, this is bullshyt.
I know how to use a sextant too. Sextants don't work on a flat Earth.
I use to own a ISP that I sold to BellSouth way back when. For my remote clients, I had wireless antenna on towers that I had to point at each other. I had to calculate the curvature of the Earth for a clear Fresnel zone clear of any obstructions. A flat Earth would have made my job so much easier.

1) They’ve been caught in several lies about space exploration and the moon landing, deleted web pages, freudian slips in interviews - it’s all out there, look it up.
2) I didn’t know NASA determined what global warming is

Did you know the scientific community use to push global COOLING in the 70’s?
If you used the same type of camera you would still see the ship disappear in the downwards direction over the horizon. If the earth was flat, the only way you'd see the ship disappear is if your camera could not see that far anymore as the ship kept going further and further.

1). I'm not about to touch the fake moon landing thing because that's while different can of worms. I'll just say that I doubt that they had the cgi technology to fake that in the 60s
Also half of NASA's budget is devoted to earth science. It switches up depending on who's in office. Democratic president, earth science gets the new projects. Republican president, money switches to deep space exploration.
