I was with a girl for 7 years and she texted me while at work (and she was at home, on the couch, at my house) asking for gas money.

7 years together. She was an attorney. She was living in my house and paid no bills... and she didn't have $5 in the world to put gas in her car.

So I took a long hard look at my life and realized this wasn't going to be what I was gonna do for the rest of my life.

So I bushed her.

All that said, it's irresponsible for her to buy weed before buying gas. He also could have gone as well, but in today's times ... he'd probably have been looked at as a simp or doing too much by showing too much interest or some shyt.

Dusty problems for the both of them and I won't even say one is more wrong than the other one.

First time meeting and they ain't even going out but just meeting at his place and both of them can't even finance the gas for that . If they managed to get past the gas thing they would have ended up arguing over who's paying for the alcohol, takeout food, etc...
