Read the article breh.
I did but that could be a nice PR way of backing out of what they see as a bust. The way BYND is breaking way into restaurants is what's attractive to me but I understand they're still operating at a loss.

I'm new to all this shyt so my bad if I'm ignorant here :whoa:

It means Tyson foods studied their style and will kill them on their own shyt. It's what Sony did to Nintendo back in the day with the defunct CD Drive

Investing is a gamble :manny:

Tyson paid them to learn about them and seemingly wants to get into the same market. However, I think the "Beyond" brand has a lot of pull in that industry, I don't see it as a smart move for Tyson. Lots of vegans (especially vegans actually :wow:) are very "proud" of their beliefs and I don't think a company like Tyson that has a whole separate "meat/chicken" division is going to get the customer support that Beyond has.

Long story short, it's all speculation whether it's good or bad. Just wait for the IPO and invest if you feel comfortable.

All good breh. To quote 2Pac "Even a genius asks questions". The fact that Tyson sold it's shares in the company doesn't bother me. If Bill Gates sells his shares I'd be more concerned.

Tyson Ventures is pleased with the investment in Beyond Meat and has decided the time is right to exit its investment,” the company said in an email, adding it plans to launch its own alternative protein product soon and expects to conduct market testing this summer.

Tyson’s investment arm originally purchased a 5 percent stake in the startup in October 2016, before increasing that to 6.5 percent. Beyond Meat, which didn’t respond to a request for comment, seeks to raise as much as $184 million in an IPO. The company’s plan to sell 8.75 million shares at $19 to $21 each would give it a market value at about $1.2 billion, according to filings.

Only two reasons why they would leave before the IPO date. They valuation allowed them to find someone who wants to buy out their shares at profit. Beyond Meat is buying them out. Nobody leaves before the biggest money day a company might have unless they've already got paid.

This isn't true. Nintendo asked Sony to develop a CD system to compete with Sega. Sony did but Nintendo didn't want to do loading time that CDs had and pulled out and left Sony with a fully developed system and their dikks in their hand so they redesigned casing and branded it the PlayStation. Nintendo fukked Sony.

The green is my exact thoughts on the red. Vegans are extremely conscious about which company does what.

If Tyson makes a better tasting product for a better price you will see how loyal vegans really are. Being a vegan doesn't automatically make you a social justice warrior, it just means you are more conscience of what you put in your body.

I still haven't had an impossible burger due to the fact that I refuse to spend that much money on any kind of burger ever. Maybe this will be a Pepsi vs. Coke situation. I fukks with Beyond Meat tho so I'm riding with them. Just had a beyond sausage last night :ehh:

I haven’t had either but I’ve watched a hundred nikkas lose their mind eating them shyts on the gram. :mjlol:

That Washington Post article I posted said them shyts tasted better than Whoppers with real beef.

It's funny you say that because that's how I describe the taste of a beyond burger to people that never had one.

I was a vegan for 9 months and met a lot of vegan people. In my personal experience, they are a lot less money conscious than they are rights conscious. I don't think the average vegan is going to buy Tyson foods over Beyond to save a buck or two. Most of the people I met were all about the lifestyle, loving animals, being good to the earth etc.

Regardless, that's just a personal anecdote and I see how it could be disproven. We will see how things go a few years from now :manny:
