only thing I can think of is Family guy doesn't specifically target any protected classes and isn't known for making fun of any particular group of people...it's usually random celebrity or pop culture mocking ...not like how AL Bundy is known for constant fat jokes

He also made fun of his lazy wife and called Marcy a chicken. Yet again they got rid of apu because a white guy was playing him not because he was in pc.

Yeah, because it was 1990 and it was the first animated sitcom in prime-time since The Flintstones. And it was made primarily for adults. And almost every other sitcom back then was the antithesis of The Simpsons. When that show came out, people were like because there had never been anything like it before and it was a smash hit.
