everyone has some story of some random shythead at the local park that "could have went pro man he was better than mj" as if him balling up some sorry asses at the park means he had the game to even play at a d-1 level. scrubs that dont even get off the pine at most d-1 schools will mop the floor with cats playing rec ball. if some kid truly has anywhere in the realm of lebron talent, hes going to get several chances. his game might not pan out or he just might fukk it away with dumb choices a few times over, but it wont be because he didnt get those early chances. theres hundreds of thousands of lebrons out there that just didnt get a shot tho

I don't think people realize the gap in athletic ability between people who get paid to play sports, and your cousin's best friend who didn't make it because he was unlucky.

If you didn't get seriously hurt several times in a row (ACL, MCL, out for 8 months or longer type of injuries) then your azz was on the fast track to working at Enterprise after 4 years of college, 1 year on the bench and 2 years overseas.

I'm not going to say there are thousands; but there are people that have the abilities, but because of certin situations like death, injuries, prison, taking care of a dying mother and etc., stopped that from happening. There was a brother from my area that started at a d-1 school; going pro and everything, came back to the area just to visit, blew somebody's face off, now doing life. shyt happens.
