If you were given $100 on January 1 and was challenged to have 100k by Dec 31 how would you do it?

You know, this could be a really good exercise we run in this forum on a weekly/monthly basis to get people thinking about how to put money towards the right things to generate income and wealth.

Are there any particular constraints such as you only have that $100 to live on? Or just use that $100 independently to make $100,000?

Is that even realistically possible? Has anyone ever done this (without gambling, their own bankroll, and sheer luck)?
Is it realistic, not entirely, but the beauty in the exercise would be thinking outside the box and getting as close as you can to the number. I'm already brainstorming ideas and should have a plan typed up in a short while.

If this is realistic then you should be a multimillionaire right now

Like I said, it's not entirely realistic. I think you're taking my post too seriously and not recognizing my message. My line of thinking is to see what sort of creative plans you can develop to maximize your seed money. While the OP is ambitious with a target of $100,000, we could always adjust that to a more realistic goal. But hey, maybe we're just coming at this from different schools of thought :yeshrug:

Reppin
the internet
Start a service based business.
Thats probably one of the only ways you could get consistently close to that goal.

Ive known a few dudes that turned a squeegee and paper towels into a real ass business that has them making 6+ figures every year.

Basically...think of a service that your average business (or household) has use for, and start knocking on door trying to drum up business.

People always say... "it takes money to make money".
No
It takes heart, guts, balls, etc.... to make money.
Do you have it in you to cold call businesses all day?
Do you have it in you to knock on doors all day?

You could start right now and make more money than the average person makes at their boring job.

It's realistic, in the technical sense (basically meaning it's possibly though extremely unlikely), it just would take incredible amounts of work, luck, dedication, and intelligence.

But it's not out of the question for somebody to flip $100 into $100,000 within a year. Hell, it wouldn't even raise an eyebrow in the drug game or in other illegal industries.

Yes it would.
Most drug dealers are broke.
That's irrelevant.

I, nor anybody else, would argue that turning $100 into $100,000 over 12 months is LIKELY. I'm just arguing that it's POSSIBLE, and people do it often enough that it can't be considered a needle in the haystack situation.
