Who the hell would want to be a teacher in 2018
Three words: Student loan forgiveness. shyt I know one chick who switched from social work to teach for just the 3 months a year off work
alone - after she got burned out from a heavy caseload and next to zero vacation days.
I mean, when you're making 30k a year at some shytty dead end desk job, why not switch things up and make that 30k teaching where at least you know that 50k in student debt will be erased and you get more than a funky ass 2 week vacation per year. Plus teachers are eligible for all kinds of home loan and down payment assistance.
But not all schools are terrible with bad ass kids though. There's still some good districts/schools where the parents/community actually give a shyt. If you can get in some place like that, it doesn't seem half bad.
