If you won the lottery how would you protect yourself from people bothering you?

Was talking about this with a friend and she said something interesting. Said if she won the 10 mill prize, she'd buy real estate somewhere, then send 1 mill to her 4 closest family members and friends then change her number. By the time they received their cash they wouldn't even know where she is or how to get in touch with her.

Hide your identity through a LLC.. have your lawyer do the lotto press conference on your behalf through your LLC…

In a lot of states you can have your name withheld if you win.

That’s what I would do. I’m not even a big spender, so nobody would even figure it out.

In not telling anyone I dont have to. I dont have big tastes so I think everything I bought would look kind of believable.

I would give family normal money. Not throwing millions at them.

One thing I would do is set up a shell scholarship fund for trade schools and
college for family to give them a full ride without them knowing it was me.

I use to think about doing the "give x amount to each family member" but now I wouldn't even do that
My money wouldn't be in cash so I'm not sure if I'd HAVE to do anything. Ain't like people can just get my money by knowing me. I would continue my relationships like I am now. I'm not rich but I might as well be compared to some people and it hasn't affected our relationships, I guess I'm blessed not being surrounding by a bunch of beggars in my circle

This is the main reason i feel like i would take the annuity instead of the lump sum.
Nobody is gonna treat me differently than they do now if they know i'm making 500k a year doing nothing versus getting millions of dollars all at once.

Lottery level money does something to people. Even Kobe’s family started acting different.

They hit me up for money now.

I done bought school supplies, musical instruments, laptops.
Paid for school trips, college tuition, house notes, car notes, bail money, lawyer fees.

I could keep it to that level, and I'd set my affairs up so that my family would not know I was really doing it.

Assuming I win in a state where they publish names and photos (if I could take the money anonymously...)

1. Legal Name Change
2. Disguise my appearance for the photos

In terms of spending, I sort of live the lifestyle I want now, I'd just do some minor upgrades.
Folks done seen me suit up, drive foreign, and sip coconuts on beaches.

All my upgrades would be in line with the life I have

• Instead of renting a decent place in a nice part of town, I'd own.
• Upgrading the foreign to a 911 is still "normal" money to most people. And I'd prolly lease it. 1800 a month + a bump in insurance and fuel really isn't that big of a deal. I could do that now come to think of it.

Set up an Anonymous trust. Pay myself as well as whoever else I want to. State that the conditions to receive the funds is that you can’t inquire about who else got money and how much. basically a gag order.

Wouldnt put my moves out there I wouldnt give my family shyt especially extended (call me mean i dont care)I would change my # etc. I have small circle and about 2 people on this planet i know for a fact wouldnt say a word to anyone I know. I would consult 1 of the 2 mention and they would help me.
