I think what’s problematic is when we discuss numbers in percentages it can be misleading without context. In a country of 330 million people, if we are taking about 1% from the 99% we are still talking 3.3 million people that won’t recover. Saying 3.3 million people isn’t concerning is problematic.

Ehhhh that's still kinda slippery I think. That article states that the CARES incentives still apply, just only for the uninsured and Medicare patients. This is just my personal intuition, there's definitely room for juking numbers in that instance.

Not to mention the example Dr. Coles gave about the terminal cancer patient dying in a car accident and it may or may not be reported on the death certificate based on the judgment call of , the coroner I'm assuming, is still kinda meh to me. Why not just disclose all of it you know?

I mean even in the example this thread is about, if your relative or wifey or whomever went to the hospital for a broken leg -and let's just up the stakes here, hypothetically- and she caught and died from a COVID-19 pneumonia, I mean wouldn't your antennas go off in a situation like that?
