True, but many women also would say my mother & grandmother were "victims" because their husbands didn't help around the house - even though they provided the lifestyle that made everything possible.

Women want men to provide the lifestyle, and also help them clean the toilets and wash the dishes.

Even if youre providing a top 1% lifestyle - alot of women still view you as a demonic patriarch that deserves death if you arent helping with house-work

I think the issue is that your mother also worked a full time job so it’s not really providing a lifestyle if she’s paying bills just like you but only she’s required to scrub toilets and wash dishes. You, your mom, your grandmother etc don’t see an issue with that life but not everyone wants that kind of life.

No shade to your family and I don’t think you’re evil for being that way but I honestly would never want to be a with man that thought that I should work a full time job and split bills with him but only I should do housework. That doesn’t sound appealing at all.

If we had to depend on my mother's income and productivity - I would have went to public school and my mother would be driving a used Japanese sedan instead of brand new German luxury.

Without my father, the whole family crumbles.

Without my mother, the train keeps moving.

If your husband is a millionaire and you're a nurse - it doesnt matter if you're paying bills.

Women get a job making 50k a year & they get gassed up :russ:

I get you but chances are hubby(at the time) was overworked too. my grandad would drive trucks for 18 hrs a day, come home to 6 kids a sandwich and a beer. he couldn't have been all that happy

He sounds like a victim too, probably wasn’t even a good sandwhich :mjcry: I doubt you want that life.

that's why we die sooner.
we have the most workplace deaths

most likely to be a victim of violence

get sentenced longer in the judicial system

get disproportionally affected by the family court system

and much much much higher suicide rates

cultural masculinity + testosterone = we make it look easy so they think it is...

:yeshrug:

women have been safe from any real daily dangers for so long they forgot who sacrifice/d their lives to make it safe

Ahh, I see, I think that’s where the “you’re evil” comes in, your wife could tell you she’s depressed working full time and coming home just to keep working until she goes to sleep and this is your response. Just because she makes less doesn’t make her any less tired. But as I said before your mother didn’t care being made to do more because she didn’t make as much money didn’t bother her but that doesn’t mean someone else wants that life.

I would require that I didn’t work at all or pay any bills in order for me to do all the house work on my own but that’s just me. Luckily my husband wants my life to be easy.

Yup.

Men work HARDER than women, but society paints us as demonic villains oppressing women.
Never saw them out here when I was doing manual labor. They called me to do it instead of themselves. :jbhmm:

Then my mom dared to tell me to clean my room and do chores when I had to go to do homework after 11 hours. Damn I never knew I was a victim

Like I said your mother didn’t care but that doesn’t mean someone else wants that life.

We can agree to disagree sis.

Most women would chop their own limbs off to have access to a 7-figure man who provided for their children for over 30 years.

Most women can't even keep a 4-figure man for longer than 9 months.

your wife could tell you she’s depressed working full time and coming home just to keep working until she goes to sleep and this is your response.

My mother works because she believes that a women should be "contributing to society"

My mother got racks in the bank & racks stacked in her closet.... she has the same hustler spirit as my father.

My father is almost 60 and is still working 14 hour days - 5 days a week.

My parents are bag chasers.

if it works for them :yeshrug:

I have all that and then some, I come from
a well off family and so does my husband, we both have inheritances that we don’t touch, we both have careers, I work 3 days a week but I’m a L&D nurse so that’s a normal work week, we make a lot in CA depending on where you work. My husband works 5 days but only 7.5hrs.

Quality of life is important to me and a life of nothing but work work work is no life to me. I made sure I found a man that shared similar views as me. Seems like your mother did the same(found someone with her same worldviews), that’s why it works for her, so good for her.

And sure women will do anything for access to a well off man but not all of them
Plan on sticking around like your mother they’ll just do the 10 years and a few kids and get alimony/child support. Clearly that life is something your mother wanted as well as the man with the money. That’s why she’s still with him.
