Am I the only one who thinks he's basically Tebow with a stronger arm & tattoos? Stares down receivers, never makes reads, never hits his receivers in stride.

I love Tebow and everything he did for UF but Tebow's accuracy was way worse and he didn't have the arm nor the running ability... Explain to me how the two are alike, breh? :heh:

Said this in the other thread but I think it applies here…….Kaepenick truly lacks pocket presence…..Despite being a good running qb he has no feel for what's going on around him when he's in the pocket and his game seems very erratic. It's like the game hasn't slowed down for him yet. That's where Russ has him beat. Russ seems to have had that since he's been in the league, almost beyond his years.

To be honest, I don't know if that can even be developed…..
He'll never have the talent around him on both sides of the ball that he has now…..

but right now it's clear his decision making, reads and progressions just aren't there……..He seems to get by on having a great arm and legs….

He is only 3 years deep and I think he'll get better but by how much?

That said the 49ers don't really have a choice….

After watching Alex this year I question if he's really better than him. Alex made a lot of plays with his feet throughout his career as well……and he doesn't turn the ball over. Seems like Andy opened the offense up a little more for him than Harabaugh did.

:mindblown:

All I know is he deserves more than Cutler, Bradford, Ryan, Stafford, Schaub, and Romo.
Man hell no.

Kaep looks lost in the passing game a lot of time. He has so much talent around him that it covers his flaws very well. Not to mention his running ability.

Don't know why Bradford and Schaub are in this Convo.

He equal to Ryan and Cutler and not better than Romo.

Oh yeah, Kaep is going to get better. He has all the tools he just needs to trust the scheme more.

Nikkaz think QBs just fall out of the sky and start playing like Marino out there.

lol dude is only 26 has only started less than two years, yet has been to a superbowl and was a few plays away from being to another one. Not to mention played without his number 1 wideout (crabtree) for most of the year. plus he got much better as the season progressed. He does what is necessary to win. I think he is a great quarterback, he just doesn't have the sexy stats because of the offense he is in.

They were saying 20 mil earlier today if he made the Super Bowl again. I wish we could hold off on paying him till after next season. Next season will be huge will he make the next step as a passer or continue to not really progress

If he can do it in the NFC West, he'll be able to do it anywhere.

Every defense in that division is:whew:

They have potentially 4 of the top 5 defenses in the ENTIRE NFL in that division

Get this man Mike Martz ... He can be the LT of QB's.

He's got the durability to play the Position in way no one has ever played.

I don't think he ever develops into any kind of legitimate threat with his mind/actual quarterbacking. So you end up basically paying for a running quarterback and they don't have much shelf life in the league.
