fukk nah.

Flacco won a SB. That's largely the reason why he got paid so much.

I think you mean Boldin and Smith won the Super Bowl. I'll give Flacco some credit for last year's postseason run because he did make some nice throws but he was also bailed out numerous times. We saw what his numbers looked like this year and it wasn't pretty :heh:

While that may be true, the conversation going into the playoffs last year was that he wasn't going to get paid unless he won the Super Bowl ... and then he did. Even though I'm still pissed at that lucky ass throw that beat Denver. He did beat Manning and Brady b2b though, that helped his case.

I hope it's not a lot to where it will cripple us. But since QBs getting all kinds of dough it'll probably be a ridiculous contract.

They need to gone give him that extension before he has a true blowout season......If they wait and he reaches the potential everybody thinks he has, then you have to cripple the team to pay him

I think Kaep will be fine...

Manningham and Crabtree being injured really hurt him imo...

I believe if he could have gotten a full run with them and Boldin,it would have helped him...

I think the playcalling is suspect at times as well..

I think Kaep should do more no huddle stuff...

He is like a 2nd year qb getting treated like he Matt Schaub or something...

The man still has time to grow...

this fraud is gonna get paid because they're other wack qb's getting paid.

a lot of style, but little substance. the blake griffin of the NFL.

:childplease:

Blake Griffin is a beast. If you're comparing Kaep to him then that's a compliment.

Honestly if he's asking for too much they should get rid of him. The bedrock of that squad is their defense and they have some young studs to pay on that side too. I've been syaing that the NBA should change their salary cap to make exceptions for players drafted to a team. I think the NFL should make a similar change. What good is drafting a bunch of young studs if you just gonna have to let some of them go once they come into their own? If the 9ers are smart they will have their set price and if he's not willing to take it, trade him for picks. You will go farther with defense and a run game than you will hitching your wagon to a mecurial QB. You can talk about all the contracts that these other guys have gotten but the reality is none of them were in the playoffs this year.

I hope his agent puts it in writing that Harbs hire a proper QB coach. The kid is talented, but he still can't read defenses for shyt.

Yall kill me with the reactionary stuff... The coli is "black excellence" all year long, the 49ers lose this game and yall do the quick turn on him, same yall threw cam to the wolves last week.

Kaep is still growing as a qb, but something you cant debate is the Wins in the playoffs. Sure he didnt win it all this year or last year but we've seen him turn up in the playoffs and its plenty of qbs gettin paid who have done less than he has.

Pay the man, and continue to mold him. Harbs seems like a smart dude and will get him right

dont really understand the whole you dont want to overpay=you hate him shyt. i like kaep and would like for him to stay. with that said, anything over 14-15m is gross overpay and id rather trade him for picks after tagging him, if thats the demands. 12 per seems like fair deal in todays realities unless dude completely falls apart

oh yes, running and jumping and dunking= style

weak ass post moves= little substance.

wake me up in the playoffs when he beasts when the game slows down.

Just say, "I only watch highlights."

Only David Lee & Pau have better assist rates than Blake for PFs, he shoots the league-average on shots from 16-23 ft, and is only the second player in NBA history to average at least 20 pts, 10 boards and three apg while shooting at least 50 percent from the field over his first three seasons.

Get that lazy rhetoric out of here and let these players develop. :camby:

Best dual-threat qb in the league right now (or top two with Killa). Speedster with an arm that's stupid strong. Probably a salary that would make him one of the top 10 highest paid QB's in the league, but I not no Flacco money (Flacco didn't even deserve all that).

Basically, Flacco, didn't deserve Flacco money. I'd have a $100M DB or DE before I'd have a $100M QB personally, with that being said, anything in the 10-15 milly range is good, just remember how it was before Kaep :wow: :whoa:

Folk saying he can't read a defense is downright silly. Is he good at it? Not yet, but how the hell do you accomplish what he has without being able to identify matchups and coverages? Folk say some of the dumbest shyt in here. Reading defenses is something that comes with time. And even so vet QBs still make wrong reads. Kaep doesn't deserve a lucrative deal and he won't get one. He'll have to cash in on the next one.
