What I'll be doing tomorrow:
- Changing my affiliation to Republican
Pros:
-I can choose the next republican candidate, so we don't lose Cornett (a much better repub candidate) to a guy like Stitt next time
- I can still vote Dem in the general election, WHICH OF COURSE, I LIKELY WILL
Cons:
- I don't get to choose the next democratic candidate in the primary, but who cares, they'll MOST OFTEN be better than the repub (to me anyway)
Not to mention, that because of the Electoral College, Oklahoma will likely continue to be red for the foreseeable future anyway at the national level
NOTE: There's a reason that Indies AND Dems can vote in the Dem primary in OK, but NEVER the repub primary
There is precedent of this working, so it's solid, depending on your state's rules, and whether folks actually get on board.
If you agree with this logic, spread the word, and do the same!
