i understand the playoffs might be the first time you guys watched the eagles all season... but wentz is our FUTURE. foles will always be a legend and remembered/loved for this but we arent giving up on wentzs potential to hand the keys to nick. we dont even beat the falcons in the divisional round if wentz doesnt get us that #1 seed. the fact that us eagles fans who just witnessed our first superbowl under foles are still telling you that wentz is our franchise QB should say enough.

There was a thread about this about 3 weeks ago...and I'll say the same thing here that I said there...Foles is a legend in Philly now..his jersey will always be on people's backs, he'll be a house hold name...the team SB photo will hang in every bar, basement and barbershop (I'm picking up mine tomorrow)...and he'll have a beer and a sandwich named after him...but he is not the future. Wentz is. Wentz ain't going anywhere...he's a top draft pick in his second year coming off a potential MVP caliber season who led this team to a top seed in the playoffs. It is what it is.

Foles is a great story...his history fits the city perfectly...but business is business. He's a free agent, and the Eagles will do right by him by allowing him to go elsewhere and get paid and a chance at a full time starting gig.

My only hope is that the Eagles will hopefully be able to deal him for something nice...I'm actually hoping they can get a top 10 pick and a few late rounders for him. If I were Rosen, I'd have the Browns on speed dial right about now.

But the ONLY way he stays is if Wentz just never heals right after a torn ACL, or if he just wants to stay here and isn't concerned about starting or making money...which isn't likely.

:picard:You legit thinking teams are prepared to mortgage their futures for Nick Foles:mjlol:

Wentz is better but I’m :patrice: about trading Foles as an Eagles fan. What if Foles is the next Matt Ryan or Phillip Rivers? Good but never wins a championship? You have to be 100% sure that Wentz’s potential is better than the proven fact that Foles knows how to win in the biggest game. Against the fukking Patriots no less.

And as this game stands, and Philly actually ends up pulling this thing out, how do you feel? Are you genuinely happy for your teammates and simply disappointed that you didn't get to play or does your ego take a hit from them being able to pull it off without you?
We wouldn't BE HERE if it wasnt for his MVP season.

He's just as much apart of this as Foles.

Next season there will be a quarter back dual and I expect Nick Foles to Fold under pressure like he normally does :manny:....don’t even ask me how

So much pressure on dude now...

There is almost a 0% chance the Eagles win back to back....outside of the Pats doing it, its been rare as fukk the last couple decades. So alot of people will be looking at him sideways when another team wins next year.

Wentz is the Eagles QB going forward no doubt.

But if he never wins Super Bowl in his career as a starter this will def hang over his career.

It will, but the dude got a ring from this regardless. In the most technical sense, he's a Super Bowl-winning quarterback. That said, I'm sure he was legitimately happy for Foles and the crew, but he was caught on camera saying, "That's me next year." He's human. I can't blame him for feeling some type of way about it personally.

Don't forget, Wentz was on his way to winning MVP of the season before he got hurt. That tells you all you need to know about how he feels. He's going to come away from it motivated as fukk, and while Foles was lights out when he had to be, what this game says is that Philly's whole TEAM is constructed and capable of winning championships.

Wentz goes into next year knowing that all he has to do is his job, and there's no reason why Philly can't pull this shyt off again.

All of this goes away if Philly wins a Super Bowl and Wentz is the one who starts and finishes the game. Ideally, he's got a decade to pull that off.

I think it's time to hang up the "it's just Nick Foles" talk. He just performed on the two biggest stages and looked like an elite QB out there. I'd bet a few teams who need a QB would be willing to deal for him knowing Wentz is the Eaglea starter.
