K-Rino is dope. one of the best conceptual rappers ever, if not the best. his music itself isnt great due to beat selection and general over-saturation(like dropping 3 to 4 albums in 2008)..

my personal favorite albums are Book Number 7, Worst Rapper Alive, Fear No Evil, Triple Darkness 1 & 2.

I respect your opinion cause you recognize he's dope, which in my opinion is pretty undeniable. But I do disagree with his music not being great, I think his music is GREAT, have you heard his more recent albums? Some amazing work and the beats are dope. I explained it to one dude before, he has been guilty in the past of using lackluster beats on some albums but even back in the day he had some ill beats. I'm not sure what you've heard but if you haven't heard everything I'd recommend checking it out again, or even skimming it to see how your feeling about the beats cause to me the brother is like in the top 3 of all time. If you've heard all his shyt and still feel that way, that's a preference and all good but if you haven't I couldn’t recommend high enough giving it a try.

Conceptually he is definitely incredibly dope too, he's had some of the best and well executed concepts I've ever heard.

Cant believe I never heard any of this dudes shyt.

Jesus tho how many albums he got?

Since I like the golden era of rap ( Wu Mobb Face etc) Ill prolly check him out dont really know where to start tho

He got a lot of albums lol, he's been in the game since late 80's. And now he releases like two albums per year, this year 3 I believe. I'd recommend you start with some of the albums I posted on the first page, any really, when you have some free time and see how you feel. You may become a fan. I haven't known about K-Rino since the 80's, I'm not old enough to, I heard one song which infact was posted on a Hip Hop board called Valley Of Decision and it was dope as fukk and I heard his Eminem diss and I felt that too. I liked his shyt but when I delved into his work and continued to listen it was like an "oh shyt" moment as I realized I was listening to one fo the greatest of all time. With the more work he's dropped he's steadily climbed up my GOAT list (and I know 1000's of rappers) and is now number 3 of all time, battling hard for number 2.

P.S: If you like Face that's another reason to check K's shyt, Face loves K's music, he rates him as the best rapper. They are also good friends from way back. Z-Ro also rates K as THE best rapper if you like Z-Ro's shyt. A lot of people fukk hard with K, even in a mainstream level.

i don't know for sure but he's prob got between 15-20 albums all up. he's very much like Canibus so if you like Bis then you'll prob like K Rino as well. there's a lot of "I make an entity enter ya as I mentally circumvent your peninsula/The intensely temperamental mic emperor who increases the temperature" type rhymes

See I would disagree with this bro. This sounds like something from someone who hasn't heard all of his music (which you freely admitted). K does do the lyrically crazy tracks BUT he also does very emotional tracks, political tracks, social tracks, street tracks, women tracks, conceptual tracks. I love Canibus and I would never say anything bad about Bis at all, but K-Rino has some other layers and depths that Bis chooses not to really go to a lot. I think they are completely different artists bar the fact they are lyrical. I haven't heard Bis do a snog quite like Holla At Me or Doin Bad or I'll See You and countless other K-Rino songs.

I would say K-Rino is a mixture of KRS-One, 2 Pac and Canibus. Infact he cites KRS-One as a major influence.

i just meant from a style point of view, in terms of concepts & songs, K Rino is better. i haven't heard ALL his music but i did listen to a lot of it up to Book Number 7 & i downloaded up to Alien Baby i think. it just gets repetitive to me but i def respect the skill

I understand where your coming from, all I can suggest is check the latter albums...

From here to here at least cause that is far from repetitive to me, the opposite.

Yeah I love Face and Z-ro thats why its weird I never heard of this dude, also devin is one of my favs and I love goodie Kast Cool Breeze youngbloodz etc so Im down with the south shyt.

Props to you & DaveyDave for the info but Im still confused as to which is his best album that I should start with, just one. Preferably from the mid 90s.
