If you're Urban Meyer, do you sit Zeke Elliott against UM?

I mean.. on one hand, you need your best players on the field in a rivalry game with a conference championship on the line. Of course

But on the other hand, Elliott just BLATANTLY, and PUBLICLY undermined Urb. Not only are you disrespecting your coach, which should happen in private, you're also communicating to potential recruits "these coaches are full of shyt" jeopardizing the future of the program

Of course players and talent win championships, but it takes a coach like Meyer to put it all together in a run like they had last year. So to completely turn on your coach publicly, coming off a NC, after one loss to a top 10 team at the last second, is pretty bytch made. It's hard to imagine another program who has had the level of success Zeke's OSU's teams have had since he's been there. Every team loses a game here and there, even Bama. Plus they have no shortage of 4* recruits at RB waiting to make themselves household names too.

I say sit the kid down against Michigan. Thoughts?

No, Urban already said Zeke was correct in his displeasure with the playcalling

Being correct in his displeasure is one thing... I'm sure lots of kids all over the country are justifiably frustrated by their coaches. But publicly blasting your coach and denouncing the program that helped make you famous after ONE poorly coached loss is another entirely. I don't agree with it. But Urban has always let the inmates run the asylum so I guess I wouldn't be surprised to see Zeke out there

I would sit him for the just 1st quarter or not at all. Even tho Zeke was disrespectful as hell, being vindictive isn't gonna help win games or help recruiting. Treat it like a "family" problem. Say "he's just emotional, he wants to win and that energy is gonna help him on the next level" Make sure the cameras see you hugging him on the sidelines

Yeah I mean the thought wouldn't cross my mind if I didn't already know they are 3-4 deep at RB with highly sought after recruits. They'd be just fine

Zeke has earned OSU millions of dollars and helped secure Meyer's job and money. Zeke, meanwhile, has to shyt through bullshyt when he could be making millions in the NFL. He's not an "inmate in an asylum" and Meyer should just play him. fukk your ridiculous talking points.

Yall sound like them cac's on TV with their cac talking points :scust:
:stopitslime: I've been at work all day, I don't know anything about talking about talking points around this situation. But hell, if you're managing a group of people and one of the most productive, well-respected guys you lead comes out publicly bashing you, you just going to let him do it without some kind of punishment? Bad, bad precedent

NO....

Gotta do what it takes to beat your main rivals....

The lack of carries Zeke got was criminal,he was right in voicing his displeasure....

Besides we don't even know if Zeke may have spoken to Urban afterwards and apologized or whatever. All of this talk about Zeke shytting on Urban publicly will be forgotten if OSU shyts on UM.

You gotta be a fukking Michigan fan or a racist cac to want this dude to sit out an entire fukking game against UM. You'd have to be...

:bryan: why the hell are you so mad? It's just a question :heh: And you don't think Meyer's coaching has helped elevate Zeke? Being associated with a national championship school hasn't skyrocketed his fame and draft status and future paychecks? Meyer doesn't contribute shyt to the university or the team? He just rides players' coattails to championships at multiple schools? Come on son
