This still wouldn't happen.

Some team would offer Barnes a contract and GSW simply wouldn't match.

3 days later they would sign Durant.

This doesn't and hypothetically would never stop Durant from going to GSW.

they already renounced his rights aint no matching.

KD would be going back to OKC so not signing with them.

And they would be depleted of Bogut, Barnes, Ezli, Clark without getting KD but they would have ZaZa

You know when you think about it, everything that's happened this offseason can be directly traced back to the 2010 decision :jbhmm: The decision set the trend for stars to join and form superteams like what KD just did, it made the Heat big 3 take paycuts which essentially finally forced Wade out of Miami, it led to the failed Kobe/Nash/Dwight trio which has sent Dwight packing for another team in hopes of rebuilding his image and contending again, and it forced the Bulls, who have always been seen as the #2 team behind whatever squad Lebron was on for the last 5 seasons and who get washed by Lebron every year (and who might have made the finals one of these years if they stayed healthy and didn't have to play Lebron), to dash hopes of contending with their core and trade Rose. The viability of the Miami big 3 and the ratings they brought also likely contributed to the new monster TV deal the NBA got, which drastically raised player's salaries this offseason. LeBron really the god of this NBA shyt

Um actually it was the Boston 3 who gave Bron the idea of the 2010 decision so it's actually KG, Pierce and Ray's fault
