Ironically speaking I don't know if you follow that ArtemusGordon guy on IG that is said to be an industry insider but he made this post the other day...
Man he was making great points and hitting the nail on the head....You notice how Beyonce don't be on her page like that? Any of them for that matter. I mean when she does post on any of them or comments its to focus on promoting her brand and getting her paper. She does do the posing too like any other woman. Its okay to have fun and use it once in a while but basically notice how she doesn't let it stifle her?
I don't think its a coincidence she is the best performer and singer of her generation. Now obviously i'm not saying it all boils down to her being the best because she doesn't use it as much as others. Cause she has always been hardworking. But my point is she understands unlike alot of other artists social media isn't an entire way of life. Women like this chick in the story are gonna have alot of demons man. What the video vixens went through because of their decisions will be nothing compared to this. Notice how Superhead is like one of the few ones from the Video Vixen era that has always popped up and given her stories and embarrassed herself? Today its like 100 Superheads every year exposing themselves.
Imma be honest though...like real talk, alot of these elder women are disgusting the way they let these younger girls keep acting like idiots and embarrassing themselves. We can talk about making sure our sons dont make these mistakes but man its like they stay quiet with these women act like thots. Like why ain't these moms, aunties and grandmas stopping them from doing this shyt more? I mean i think its a different case where if it was a son acting out and a mom needing a man to correct that son. But with a daughter.....

how are all these girls just running around traveling every sec and an elder woman or some auntie not putting them up on game? I noticed this...its like they have this attitude like "fukk them" and just leave them
Back to the IG post above though....it is so spot on. Nothing is wrong with SZA not originally having vocal training. The issue is that artists like her are not put through the "boot camps" as ArtemusGordon said and just thrown to the wolves. She didn't build any tenacity hence why she was going on IG throwing temper tantrums and exposing her anxiety. She has the songwriting already, and got the support and love but TDE wanted to focus more on the paper than on making sure to invest in building her voice. I mean i think hopefully they get it now cause i think Top Dawg said last week they are gonna give her the best doctors and maybe they getting the hints from people to make her be trained better. But that is what social media basically does man. Just artists running to their diary.
I have said before on here in the past that its crazy how it all went downhill after 2010...people say after 2000....but for me it feels like 2010. You remember what Remy said about Nicki on Shether about being a bad role model to the Black girls with the injections? I mean its not just a line. Statistics have proven that. If you goole right now you will see stories saying that after Nicki made it big in 2010, in the years following all these butt implants increased like crazy. And in 2010 Instagram came out.....and Backpage was in its peak. Its like you cant make this shyt up

and have any worse timing. Those three situations all coinciding. But IG then made the industry just start focusing on the "look" extra hard instead of building talent.
I do have a prediction on what the next major social media platform will be like, BUT my guess is that it may be something that could actually be something to benefit the industry. But basically with live streaming getting big, i have thought that maybe there will be one major platform that automatically syncs and shows live performances of all the artists we know depending on their touring schedule . I know we can see recorded performances and sometimes see live performances online, but i mean what i can see is situations where you can type in an artist and see their performance that second.... Automatically. The major artists will still have people physically coming to shows to meet them. If there are underrated artists who don't get alot of attention, people seeing a great performance from online will be motivated to pay to see them in person.

That is my hope and i think its plausible. It would not only expose people more but make them wake up and put on their A game alot more and stop focusing on image so much and build character.
Beyonce and Bruno can't keep being alone.
I do think talented artists like Normani though will be perfectly fine
