Most people driving a new Range Rover Velar are not making only 90k a year, OP.

If you truly think that you probably don't have many 6 figure friends.

You don't ever keep a Range 10 years :hubie:

My point exactly. They using all the rules of thumb that bode well for the average consumer and an average car but thats not the case for ranges or their target market

I was considering the velar and sport not too long ago but it's just hard to justify their price given their reliability issues. At least a Porsche will hold value such that if I sell, the total cost of ownership won't be as bad but... luxury SUVs are not the market to try to be economical in so it is what it is :yeshrug:

Reminds me of my homegirl who spends damn near 1k for a note on her vehicle :deadrose:
I used to fukk this chick who was spending $700 a month on her car payment, meanwhile she was working at Sonic (she was in college at the time, probably around 21 or so). Felt bad for her low key because I knew the dealership had taken advantage of her, but I never could figure out how she allowed herself to get into that position.

:manny:This is how I look at all my purchases now. If there are recurring expenses, my cushion needs to be very comfortable or I don't see myself doing it. After I pay my car off in full, my desired condo pay range changes quite a bit. Everyone has to see if they can afford to keep what they could afford to buy.
That's how I move as well. I lived comfortably below my means because there was a period of time where I was living check to check and that kind of stress saps years off of your life. I just like to have buffer money. I know I could get a much nicer home or car but what I have has taken care of me so there's no need.

Truth.

Range Rovers have ALWAYS had a rep for being notoriously unreliable. The Benz/BMW set can be $$$ with repairs, but that's more an issue of needing costly maintenance done at regular intervals (can't drive an AMG like it's a Toyota and expect it to last). RR seems to have issues just because.
