Game is fun, 90% of my friends list plays it
Hating on Destiny, reminds me when everyone started to hate on 50 Cent just because they were mad he was popular, they went to such extreme lengths as to put Game (a even more horrible mc) on a pedastal
End of the day, I've been gaming for close to 25 years and I never let another man tell me I should not buy a game or not
If I did... I would e missing out on a fun game

All you do is run around and shoot things 
Even tho I dont even really play console games like that something feels off with how reviewers are treating this game. Usually IGN only giving 7's to game that are garbage if they're by a major publisher. They gave dragon age 2 a 7 point something and that game was straight up TRASH. So is the game really that bad....or is there something else at play

Bungie lives in a bubble and thinks that since they created Halo and its monumental success that they can create a new game with really bad flaws and still think its okay.
There is no excuse for the lack of story in this game and its terrible presentation. It's severely below average.
The terrible voice acting didn't help. To be honest I thought Peter Dinklage was going to be interesting in this game. But there was just no emotion there, Idk if it was his fault or just bad direction though. He would take me out of the game to the point where I would have to tune him out in order to stay focused in the moment.
People expected so much more, especially in the story department. I understand if Bungie is saying its a ongoing story but there is absolutely nothing for me to grasp onto in it. I saw a review on youtube that summed up one of my views perfectly. It basically said that the environment looked like it had better stories to tell than the actual game did.
They tried to recreate Halo's magic and mystery and it just fell completely flat.
Other than that I enjoy playing the game and I play it everyday. But the story really didn't leave me wanting for more, even though it was telling me there was a whole lot more.
Edit: A lot of peoples different opinions about this game seem to stem from some form of disappointment. Like you can see the 10/10 potential in this game but it doesn't quite take you there. At least that's how I feel.

Look at every BF4 review. It gets marked down for its lackluster story to the point of some reviewers separating the multiplayer review from the single player one.
and CoD has always had some interesting stories.
But neither are intertwined with the multiplayer. Destiny's is.
Plus destiny was hyped up because of its story. If your tag line is "BECOME LEGEND" you'd think the story would be epic on some type of level.
Become Legend among who? or what? 99% of the population is dead and everyone else seems to be a guardian just like you...
