Common sense would say it doesn't matter.
But what happens if they quote you and someone else replied to their mention of you?
In effect you are going to see what they say regardless. Not to mention their potential comrades who may echo their points to troll you.

You don't see anything from the person you are ignoring. Doesn't matter if someone else quotes them or not. Why don't you try the feature out before trashing it.
There's no way we would ever block your posts from the person you are ignoring, its not up to you to determine what another person can read or see on this site. You control what content you see, not what others see.

I feel like this would also be an effective way of assessing how bad a poster is alongside low rep and a bad post to dap ratio. Can this be done?
