@Trips I think it's actually gotten worse than when we were growing up. Back in the day, the worst they could do is search LexisNexis, pull a criminal record, and then do a Google search on you.


These days with AI, facial recognition, and data aggregator companies; she may never be able to hold formal employment again outside of entry level work like food service, retail, and call centers.

Technology is to the point, that you can submit a photo with your application; and the company can immediately pull all your data based on your face. They don't even need a real person to look at the mountain of data, because AI will just tell them that what its seeing is negative and your application goes in the dumpster. It's the same way modern HR uses AI to automatically screen out candidates without a degree or below a certain threshold of experience
