a scrappy game like last night is the stars kryptonite.
@Codeine Fiend Dream Team what do you think about kari? defense was terrible last night but he was weak too. i wonder if we see niemi in game 4.
Kari is probably a league average goalie at best.
Some days he's fine and makes the saves you would expect an NHL goalie to make. Other days he is complete ass. He's not going to win you shyt. He will need to be carried.
Our problem is we can't carry him with defense, since that is just as volatile as he is. And offense hasn't won a chip in hockey since....
Niemi is pretty much the same thing as Kari. Probably the only bad thing Nill has done is get us strapped with two goalies at $5mil each and neither one can really be relied upon. But hey, we got a 1 seed so I can't hate on the move THAT much. We won't see Niemi tomorrow. That would be putting the loss on Kari's shoulders and he already has no confidence whatsoever. Ruff don't do that. He'll let him throw up another stinker before he pulls him.
Big game tomorrow and will be interesting to see how this young team responds.
