Here's the problem, he's a notoriously shytty game manager as a coach. That challenge for the spot wasted a timeout in a crucial point of the game.

They played the Saints in between so it's not back to back, but they are soft up front. Edmunds is notoriously bad in run stopping; poor eye discipline and he overruns a lot of plays. Last year LAR and KC embarrassed him
