I need a Microsoft word file transferred into a .pdf file with same fonts, formatting, everything. I need the .pdf to look exactly like the original document.

The original Word document is 117 pages, 8.7MB, and was created on Microsoft Word 2008 on a MAC for compatibility with Microsoft Word 97 - 2004. It also has about 15 images. Inbox me if you're interested.

don't let me down coli :ohlawd:

I feel like there has to be a really simple solution but I'm too ambivalent to figure it out.

Yeah it was weird him not to being able to do so. He could also install a pdf printer like pdf creator. No need to give somebody 50 bucks for that :russ:
i wouldnt say 'no need' but it is something he could figure out. its like paying a mechanic to do an oil change. oil changes are easy as shyt, but mechanics will do it faster/more efficiently. i used to do prepress/design i coulda did that shyt faster and more efficiently for him.

The PDF format generally exports your file as is and produce a printing-ready file. I may be wrong but I never witnessed the case of an exported pdf file being different than the native one.
PDF is the way I exchange files. I never send native files (.doc or .odt for example) because you never know how are the printing settings on the client comp, or how the software parameters are set etc. But I'm kinda curious about your issue. Why was it more complicated than that if it doesn't bother you telling ?

I agree with the comparison but considering the price and what was asked, it would have been a robbery.
I remember once a buddy of mine paid 200 bucks for an IT guy to run an antivirus scan because it had a problem on his laptop. Dude saw easy-money because it was only a virus issue and basically robbed him. That's pure dishonesty... :snoop:
But Leyet said the issue was more complicated so maybe I'm wrong.

long story short, it's a 117 page manuscript with a lot of custom page formatting, unique fonts, about 20 images that needed specific placement and to be at a certain resolution, and because it's a manuscript there were specific measurements i needed for the margins, the trim, and the page bleeds. plus there was an issue converting into the 5" x 8" format that i needed as opposed to the traditional 8.5" x 11".

Ok I see. Still seem easy to do if the pdf printer is set correctly :ld:
