Exploitation of illegals is another reason why I'm against illegal immigration, thus why both illegals that become business owners and business owners that are citizens, that use illegals, deserve jail or heavy penalty

All other countries do not do this. Why does the America have to do this? Breaking the law is still breaking the law. I've never seen redemption programs for law breaking. You do your time, then you get your life right. Never see someone escape punishment for willingly breaking the law and knew they were breaking the law.

Agreed. Redemption doesn't mean they aren't punished for breaking the law. That was the point I was making to counter the current selective rewarding of law breakers
No other law breaking scenario emboldens elected politicians to publicly encourage/strategize/instruct law breakers on how to undermine the justice system they vowed to uphold

I dont support people getting green cards via marriage just to be a citizen because 9 times out of 10 they dont vet the people they are marrying and those marriages end up in divorce but I hope your story is different.
