similar to the movie Scarface to me, Let me say Nas is my GOAT so this is no hate. I think Illmatic is a classic but since I've been young all I've been told is that Scarface is the GOAT gangsta movie and while I think it's a great movie, to me it doesn't compare to Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino, Bronx Tale, Carlito's Way or Donnie Brasco.

Same with Illmatic, we've been told for so long that it's the GOAT album but I recently came to the conclusion that The Infamous is a better album I still listen to The Infamous like it jus dropped, Reasonable Doubt is better, Life After Death is better, All Eyez on Me, etc. I would say that Nas has released better albums than Illmatic.

I've never thought Scarface was the GOAT movie or Illmatic the GOAT album though. All the albums you mentioned I probably do like better. My personal GOAT album is probably All Eyez On Me, a double disc from Pac that's consistent is great for me.

I think there is some indoctrination in a sense as people start saying it to appear knowledgeable instead of case they love the shyt. Nowadays more I mean. Me personally, I like the album a lot, I think it's a great album, I really enjoy it, but GOAT album is a big statement.
