-What The Blood Clot, PLO Style, Method man remix are all eh to me with what the blood clot having great lyrics bland beat never liked it especially compared to the BANGERS on tical


why is one seen as the messiah album while the other is seen as a disappointment? if anything tical has more good songs but is hankered down by a few average filler joints that illmatic doesn't have. what tical did have was banger after banger while nas' album was more of a softer listen. if meth would have had a lil more substance would it have made the difference?

i still think tical is one of the elite wu joints on par with any of their material, when these albums dropped meth was EASILY more popular but some how the narrative moved to disappointing but idk how...

beats on Tical was better, Rhymes on Illmatic were slightly better. I know this much, in 94, Sun Rises in the East got more play on college radio around here than Illmatic, Tical, AND Ready to Die. Ready to Die really wasn't as good as any of the other 3 I mentioned. Great album, but far more fast forward tracks

Even as a Wu stan, Illmatic is the better album.

Tical doesn't get the credit it deserves though. Incredible album, despite all the stories we hear of it being rushed and not the original intended product and the re-worked beats etc.

Illmatics better and top 5 but I love tical and meth is my fave rapper that doesn't have a great discography. Tical will always will be dope to me. Tical= best producer/best rapper in that time(one of em)
