Meth one of my favorites and an all time great but this is just blasphemous. You know you gonna have alot of Wu haters coming in here just to shyt on Meth now right, Zeb? As a fellow Wu stan why would you do that?

yet people wanna pretend its leaps and bounds better than sun rises in east, ready to die, tical, etc. r2d AND tical were more popular THEN and are still just as good NOW. this revisionist nas shyt kills me
yea illmatics better but tical is a great album (for the heads who cantdont read), 4-4.5 mic DEF yet people act like its a 1 mic album vs illmatic. shyts garbage. ill take 3-4 of the first wu albums over illmatic everyday of the week. illmatic has 6 PERFECT songs versus albums with 15 bangers and prolly the same amount of perfect joints. cuban linx blows it away and has DOUBLE the material
theres nothing blasphemous about it imo. tical has 3-4 perfect joints and and 7-8 BANGERS. illmatic has 6 perfect joints and 3 "bangers". its a softer more intellectual album vs a fun style based album... it is NOT way better than tical. not in any shape or form. its better... but half a bar better or 1 ATMOST... yet people wan pretend tical is a 2.5 mic album cause i said the word illmatic...
just wan have a discussion but i dont think nas stans can handle that. they think nas is jesus christ of rap and can do no wrong. tical better than every nas album except illmatic and maybe 1-2 others yet meth seen as a dissapointment. dudes UNDERRATED
what are these BAD songs on tical. like i said what the blood clot (still a banger), plo style and method man remix are the weakest joints on the album and that was because of the beats.. theres still 10 other 4-5 mic songs on there. lesser known beats like stimulation, got my thang in action, subcrazy and tical were INCREDIBLE especially for the era. and the flows... noone made it seem so easy

FACT. what i started with is all facts, meth had more charisma and better flows, nas had better lyrics and subject matter. 2 different albums yet one is shyt on and the other heralded...why? if meth added a lil more subject matter like ready2die (which walks that line of flows/lyrics perfectly) would people respect it more? idk
for all those talking shyt.. what are these wack songs on tical.. ill wait.. hope yall aint like sirbatch calling subcrazy and tical WACK.. but i already know cats walkin inhere with their midns made up based on the responses not being able to say which tical songs suck and acting like its some garbage album. my point is its WAY closer than heads realize.

looks like 10 perfect tracks to me with bout 8 more 4.5-5 mic joints so how illmatic better yet has less perfect songs? and dont BS.. those 10 songs are all 10/10 classics with most of em even being singles. i didnt even bring up knowledge god, guillotine, wisdom body, ice water, can it be so simple remix, knuckle heads, spot rushers... put those 8 vs illmatic its still close. ironman just as many classic songs too.

I'd give linx the edge but illmatic was a true solo album.
Both are favorite albums of time of mines but I’m from Queens and Illmatic is like a soundtrack to my life, so I’ll go with that. Funny thing concerning this thread is that I was trying to purchase a Japanese import of Tical today.
Naw. Love Illmatic and Nas the GOAT but Illmatic is not better than Linx. Naw.
