Couple tracks slap but he was never gonna be a good recruit. His lane is a little too weird. Not necessarily for the good most times. His mix on ovoradio was painful a couple months back

Nah he might never blow up super mainstream (like Thug), but like Thug the talent for making music is undeniable and natural. Dude just goes into the studio and freestyles in the booth for hours different flows and shyt and by the end will have a few songs done. And he makes bangers constantly.

But Drake feature was the best thing on that track. Listening to Tuesday even as a casual listener you can tell Makonen didn't have the juice like that. His other tracks were trash

Drake can't replicate his vocal style. Makkonnen likes big, over the top vocals. Raw emotion. I've posted this before, but there's no way this hook wasn't Makkonen's work. It sounds exactly like him, except Drake can't project when he sings and thus it sounds flat as hell.


He's best where he was at (and basically still is) rocking with Father and Awful Records. That squad is doing their own thing and releasing bangers every week (ABRA's shyt is )

But I coud see the Makonnen comparison. And yeah he fits best where he was with Father and them, I just seen something about Warner Bros. buying him out of his contract so he not with OVO anymore either.
