Just turned 22 and I plan on moving out before 2014. Staying in the house gets to you breh, I wake up sometimes thinking "I could leave right now" but I wanna put a lil more money in my pocket and buy a new whip for the winter. Pops gives me all the freedom in the world, and I contribute to rent, and buy all my own food and shyt, but still, the situation is just whack to me.

Obviously I wanna move out with my twin but he doesn't seem to have the same mindset as me about a lot of things so maybe if I move out he'll get the idea and finally form a budget.

The first thing you want to do before you move out of your father's home is learn how to be financially responsible. That should be your primary priority

I'm 24 and still living with my parents. They're cool with it cause I spent the past two years paying off my student loans and now putting all my cash towards buying my own house (should be out by next year). Also have two younger brothers so help em around with things. Basically not being a burden. But I guess that makes me a loser still

nothing is wrong with an adult living with parents if they are saving money and or giving parents at least some help while they are there..homes now are expensive, school prices are high, everything is damn near high...As long as you have a plan and you execute you are good..its normal for young adults to live at home now, its not the 70's or 80's. Now if you are just chillin and eating up all the food, sucking up AC and playing video games with your loser boys..thats a prob

Some cultures keep their offsprings living at home until marriage regardless of how old they are. It's mainly american culture that parents be waiting by your bedroom door on your 18th bday to kick your ass out so they can make your room their "man/woman cave"

I have a coworker who is 37 making over 100K still living with his parents and to THAT culture (vietnamese) that is perfectly normal
