Do you know any that are eating with public relations degrees? Honest question because I don't know the field.


What's your plan once you graduate?

I know nikkas eating with journalism degrees...just doing marketing or public relations shyt

Not PR honey. Well, I guess it depends. If you are going to do -- make sure it's Corporate.

I use to work for top PR firms like Edelman and Ketchum -- before I left that life and became self-employed.

I was always one of the ONLY Black people at the firms. I have stories for days. I was not a fan. I was a Senior AE before I left.

Family told me similar...basically that it was full of cutthroat white women

I just thought it was just his surrounding city tho...

If you're good at writing you can make money online right now for your writing skills.

My advice is to look at the stats of the graduating class for that degree at your specific school, by stats I mean job placement stats and salary data.

No. They are a mess. And yes -- it's white women. I was the only BW many years. Sure, we had a few Black interns for the summer and fall. But, that's about it.

Well, it's basically the same IMO. It's providing branding messaging, marketing strategies and pr execution -- all apart of marketing.

PR -- is just more so focused on the messaging portion and making sure their product, service or client gets coverage -- that's positive and can be turned into brand loyalty, new customers and most importantly -- money, etc.

I’m not questioning you but PR can be misleading term. You can really get caught going nowhere if your AP style writing and editing skills aren’t on point.
